WFashionLady publishes practical fashion and beauty guidance for readers in the United States, the United Kingdom and Europe. This page explains how we research, write and correct what we publish, so you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it.
What we publish
Our articles cover garment care, fit and sizing, beauty technique and seasonal styling. Everything is written to help a reader make a decision — what to buy, what to wear, or how to care for something they already own.
How we research
We draw on publicly available sources: manufacturer care instructions, published size charts, industry bodies, and guidance from professional and medical organisations where relevant. Where a claim comes from a specific source, we link to it so you can check it yourself.
What we do not do
These are firm commitments, not aspirations:
- We do not invent statistics. If we cannot link a number to a real, checkable source, we describe the point qualitatively instead.
- We do not fabricate quotes, expert opinions or customer reviews.
- We do not claim credentials we do not hold. We are not licensed stylists, colorists, dermatologists or nail technicians, and we do not present ourselves as such.
- We do not claim to have tested products we have not tested. Where an article is a synthesis of published information rather than hands-on experience, we say so in the article.
Prices and availability
Where we mention cost, we give ranges rather than fixed prices, and we state both US and UK figures where relevant. Prices vary by region, retailer and season. Treat our ranges as planning guidance, not quotes.
Sizing information
Size conversions between US, UK and EU systems are approximate. Individual brands vary, sometimes considerably. We give conversions as a starting point and recommend checking the specific brand’s own size chart before buying.
Health and safety
Nothing on this site is medical advice. Articles touching on skin, hair or nail health are general information only. For anything affecting your health, consult a qualified professional. Where relevant we link to recognised medical bodies rather than substituting our own judgement.
